Richard Hoffman and Mo Brown have been selected to receive a $2,500 faculty mini-grant for their research proposal “Converting to an ESOP: The Role of Labor Unions.”

Jerry DeRidder’s (with Zakri Bello) article “The Performance of Equity Mutual Funds During Bull and Bear Markets” was published in the Global Journal of Finance and Banking Issues.

Jerry DeRidder’s (with Zakri Bello) article “The Effects of Portfolio Concentration on Investment Performance as Actively Managed Domestic Equity Mutual Funds, 1990 to 2010” was published in the Global Journal of International Business Research.

Frank Shipper was mentioned in the article “Who’s the Boss? There Isn’t One” in The Wall Street Journal, June 20, 2012. He also spoke on Airtalk with Larry Mantle, a public affairs program heard daily on 89.3 KPCC, the major NPR affiliate for Southern California.

Perdue School senior Ryan Baroody was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Sales Education Foundation (SEF). SEF recognizes students who demonstrate an understanding of the importance of sales education.

The SU Financial Management Association (FMA) chapter has earned the FMA Superior Chapter Award for the 2011-2012 academic year.
