Student Spotlight: Mert Tarik Aybartugu
Mert Tarik Aybartugu
My name is Mert Tarik Aybartugu. Currently I’m pursuing my M.B.A. in the Perdue School of Business and working as a graduate assistant at BEACON. I’m from Istanbul, Turkey, and completed my undergraduate education at Isik University in the economics program. During my junior year, I started to consider pursuing my M.BA. After completing necessary steps, I came to Salisbury University’s M.B.A. program. I attend classes in the evenings and spend my days working at BEACON.
BEACON is a great environment to learn and practice. We have a small team consisting of graduate and undergraduate students. As a graduate student, my task is to assist in various phases of business projects. BEACON provides the opportunity to use theoretical knowledge in a real business environment.
One of the tempting sides of our program is that it’s a one-year accelerated program, which gives students the opportunity to participate in business life within a year. Another advantage of the accelerated one-year M.B.A. is that it forces me to improve my time management skills. Free time is scarce and I am forced to learn how to use my time efficiently. I believe that the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business is a great place to learn and gain experience.
