CFA Institute Recognizes SU
CFA Institute, the global association that sets the standard for professional excellence and administers the industry gold standard CFA charter, recognized Salisbury Universityâ€™s B.S. major in finance, investments track, as incorporating at least 70 percent of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and placing emphasis on the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice within the program.
Salisbury is the first institution in Maryland to receive the honor.
Recognized universities are selected, in part, for their incorporation of best practices defined by CFA Institute into academic curriculum to prepare students for the Chartered Financial Analyst exam.
As a recognized university, Salisbury is eligible to award up to five CFA Program Awareness student scholarships per year. The University also will be listed on the CFA Instituteâ€™s Web site, www.cfainstitute.org. Other recognized institutions include James Madison University, Pace University and West Virginia University, as well as others from Asia, Europe, Africa and South America.
