Dr. Bob Wood, Dean
Professor of Finance

Bob G. Wood
Dean , Franklin P. Perdue School of Business
Welcome to
the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business. It is an exciting
time on our campus. If you are a prospective student, I would
personally like to invite you to visit our beautiful campus,
share in our rich history, and become a part of the quality
educational environment we offer here at Salisbury University, a
Maryland University of National Distinction.
The Perdue School of Business is accredited by AACSB, the
highest standard for business schools worldwide. Fewer
than five percent of business schools in the world share this
distinction. In addition, the Perdue School was once again
named in Princeton Review’s Best 296 Business Schools.
Also last year, the Perdue School was the first school in the
United States to be awarded the Network of International
Business Schools (NIBS) International Business Accreditation.
These accreditations and honors allow the Perdue School to
attract and maintain a highly-qualified faculty that creates a
dynamic learning environment. Our faculty includes
Fulbright Scholars, a W. H. Elkins Professor, and numerous USM
Regents Award recipients. In addition to an impressive
portfolio of theoretical and applied research, faculty members
are also recognized for outstanding classroom teaching. Our
instructional approach is high-touch and student-centered.
With an average undergraduate class size of 24, we are able to
interact with students on a one-on-one, first-name basis.
The Perdue
School offers a comprehensive business curriculum with seven
undergraduate majors including accounting, business
administration with a concentration in international business,
economics, finance, information systems, management, and
marketing. The School also offers an MBA with evening-classes
tailored to fit working individuals’ schedules. Learn more
about degree opportunities at
www.salisbury.edu/perdue/.
However,
business education today is more than classroom instruction.
The Perdue School offers numerous active-learning
opportunities. These include the ABLE Internship Program,
student case competitions at both the undergraduate and graduate
level, and other experiential learning interactions with public
and private entities. In addition, we offer an array of
study-abroad opportunities, including both semester-abroad
exchanges and short-term international immersion experiences.
I hope that
you will accept my personal invitation to visit us on the
historic and scenic Eastern Shore. Please contact my office at
410.548.5391 if you have questions about any of our programs.
Regards,

Bob G. Wood, Dean
