Salisbury University is implementing PeopleSoft 8.0 as our enterprise wide software solution. PeopleSoft was selected as the enterprise software in October 2000. PeopleSoft was installed on several University System of Maryland (USM) campuses. Salisbury will is working with the Bowie State University, Coppin State College, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and Frostburg State University as a consortium. 

Peoplesoft 8.0 for Student Administration, a 100% Internet product, will provide the following for:

  • Students. Enroll, pay tuition, monitor financial aid, and manage coursework online.
  • Administrators. Process admissions and enrollment, administer financial aid, manage student records, and analyze enrollment and graduation statistics online.
  • Advisors. Track student course grades, evaluate transfer credits, and analyze degree progress online.
  • Faculty. Manage learning activities, student records, classroom schedules, and grading online.

In addition, for all employees the Peoplesoft 8.0 Human Resources product will provide web based access to employment and benefits information.

Peoplesoft  Financials 8.4, to be released in the Spring 2002,  will provide web based financial and budget information for campus managers and department heads. Financials is a completely integrated accounting system.

Following the implementation of these products, Peoplesoft 8.0 Contributor Relations will be added to the suite at Salisbury.


Salisbury University will implement the PeopleSoft Student Administration, Human Resources, Financials, and Contributor Relations web based enterprise resource software to provide technology that supports a growing and changing campus, and provides web based self-service functionality.  This project will support the USM Regents standards for technology and technology access, and the Salisbury University goal of providing a virtual student services center as outlined in the campus information technology plan.
