To: Campus community By now,
you’ve probably heard about the event that took place yesterday
afternoon at Northern Illinois University. A number of students
were killed or injured in a shooting that took place on its
campus. Our hearts go out to the entire Northern Illinois
University community. When events like this occur, people have many emotions. SU
offers counseling services to any student, faculty, or staff
affected by this tragedy. We are all part of the SU community.
If you know someone in need, please don’t hesitate to contact
the counseling center at 410-543-6070 for guidance in how to
assist. After business hours and on weekends you can reach
counseling services by calling University Police at
410-543-6222. Rest assured everyone’s safety is foremost in the minds of
the University. If you have not already done so, please consider
