FAMILY WEEKEND 2012 will be held Friday, October 19th – Sunday, October 21st.
Family Weekend is a special time to visit the Salisbury campus. You will have many opportunities to experience University life throughout the weekend. Take in a class taught by our outstanding faculty. Experience the social opportunities planned specifically for our students and families. Attend a faculty lecture. Meet with the President. Cheer on our fabulous student-athletes as they battle
conference foes in men's soccer and football. Visit with students, faculty and staff and experience Salisbury University culture first hand.

This multimedia extravaganza of sights and sounds represents all
that goes into the contemporary and experimental practice of the
young, Chicago-based firm Plural Design. Jeremiah Chiu and
Renata Graw founded Plural in 2008. With a focus on pursuing
meaningful projects, Plural explores new approaches within the
design process, experimenting in a wide range of media including
print, web, video, sound, interactive and installation. Despite
their relatively short time as a firm, Plural has already
garnered awards and attention from Print Magazine, HOW Magazine,
Communication Arts, Creative Review, AIGA and Typeforce.

Discover Delmarva Friends and Family Paddle
SU students and their families are invited to take part in
this 2.5-3-
hour kayak trip on the Manokin River and Jones
Creek for this guided, 8-mile kayak trip, which includes snacks
and water. Registered attendees meet at the Guerrieri University
Center’s Dogwood Parking Lot entrance. Cost is $35 per person.

SU announces the world premiere of an original drama
written and directed by faculty member T. Paul Pfeiffer. Set
against 16th-
century Scotland’s political infighting, religious
terrorism and deep personal turmoil, King James VI (future James
I of England) wages Holy War on both the devil and himself in
this intense drama based on the court records of the witch
trials in pursuit of “The Devil of North Berwick,” which as the
“Watergate” of its day left a swath of misery, religious
intolerance and government terrorism.

Wildfowl Art (909 S. Schumaker Drive) The guest
for "The Drop In Art" is John Iampieri. A wonderful artist that
does Baltimore Screen painting, This unique tradition of
painting on screens has long been considered an indigenous form
of folk art. Iampieri, Screen Painter extraordinaire, will
demonstrate and personally assist participants in the creation
and completion of painted screens in the Baltimore tradition.

The Quad (the grass area between all of the traditional

4 p.m. Men’s Lacrosse National Championship Ring Ceremony,
Holloway Hall Auditorium
On May 27, SU’s men’s lacrosse team captured their program’s
10th – and SU’s 16th – team national championship. This ceremony
includes speeches by the coaches, staff and University
administration, as well as highlights and lots of laughs as
members of the program receive the symbol of their hard work.

This is a one-of-a-kind performance ensemble, utilizing
traditional percussion techniques with all-plastic instruments,
in conjunction with a revolutionary new product known as “Broomwhackers.”
Showcasing a creative blend of percussion and melody, audiences
can expect to hear familiar themes, ranging from classical
masterpieces, Motown classics,’80s movie themes, popular music
and hip-hop hits to a specific array of original compositions,
all accompanied by an entertaining and visually stimulating
stage show.
