Supplemental Instruction

SI is a peer tutoring program used by hundreds of colleges and universities throughout the world. Students who have performed well in courses that are traditionally difficult are nominated by faculty members who teach the courses to be SI leaders. Nominees are then interviewed and selected by the Director of the CSA. SI leaders are paired with an instructor and paid to attend all class sessions and to lead three study sessions outside of class each week. They are also paid for their preparation time.

Living Learning Communities

Living Learning Communities and specialized living options offer first year Salisbury University students the opportunity to live with other first year students who have a similar interest.  As a member of these communities you have the opportunity to discover more about something you like while having fun and making friends where you live.  The resident assistants and faculty members plan special programs and activities that incorporate the theme of the floor.  Trips, guest speakers and socials are just a few examples of past programs.  There are ten different communities students can choose from when completing the new student housing application.
