Winter Storm Warning In Effect for Wicomico County

3:30 p.m.

SALISBURY, MD---A winter storm warning issued by the National Weather Service for Wicomico County and surrounding areas remains in effect through 1 a.m. Friday, January 18.

According to recent NWS reports, Wicomico County could see an accumulation of 2-4 inches, beginning shortly after sunset tonight.

SALISBURY, MD---The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter storm warning for Wicomico County and surrounding areas from 6 p.m. today to 1 a.m. Friday, January 18. A winter storm warning is issued when significant amounts of snow are expected, sometimes coupled with strong winds, making travel hazardous or impossible.

According to NWS, Wicomico County could see an accumulation of 3-4 inches, beginning shortly after sunset. Motorists should be prepared for snow-covered roads and limited visibilities. Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to use caution.
