eBay Smart Start courses October 13 and 20

SALISBURY, MD---Online auctions are a growing avenue for developing small and part-time businesses. Whether you are a retailer wishing to move excess inventory, a collector trying to expand your client base or an individual trying to develop a part-time business that fits your schedule, marketing and selling on eBay may be for you.

"eBay Smart Start" is a course designed to take you through the registration and listing process for selling goods on eBay and developing an eBay store. Co-sponsored by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Salisbury University, the next two sessions are 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, October 13, in AUD-01 of the Performing Arts Center at Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, MD and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, October 20 at SU in Room 220 of the Power Professional Building (corner of Power and Wayne streets) Chesapeake College co-sponsors the first course.

Bob Willey of Trappe, MD, is the instructor for both.  A PowerSeller and trading assistant on eBay, he offers advice, tips and protocol for the eBay world. Topics covered include: materials needed to start, how to register as a seller, rules and policies, Internet safety and security, seller fees, U.S. and international shipping and selling.
