Visiting Artist David Schnuckel Delivers Talk and Demonstration February 26

David SchnuckelSALISBURY, MD---Visiting glass artist David Schnuckel delivers an artist talk and demonstration noon Friday, February 26, in Fulton Hall Room 111.

Currently living and teaching in Rochester, NY, Schnuckel has lectured and demonstrated at universities and studios nationally and internationally. He has won multiple Niche Awards for his art, and his works are part of several notable collections, including that of former U.S. President Bill Clinton.

Schnuckel’s growing body of work, “Meaningful Gibberish,” focuses on his obsession with technical excellence in glassblowing, then considers how to “unmake” the objects that he creates. In addition to excelling at those technical aspects, he is a highly conceptual artist. His work traverses themes ranging from narrative and personality flaws to outsider art and human conflict.

Sponsored by the SU Glass Program, admission is free and the public is invited. For more information call 410-543-6270 or visit the SU website at www.salisbury.edu.
