'U.S. News' Ranks SU's Online M.B.A. Program Among Nation's Best

U.S. News & World ReportSALISBURY, MD---U.S. News & World Report has ranked Salisbury University’s online M.B.A. program in the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business among the nation’s best.

This is the first time SU has been recognized on the publication’s annual list of “Best Online Programs.”

“To go from starting the online M.B.A. program in 2015 to having it ranked one of the top programs in the nation in 2017 is a very big honor,” said Dr. Christy Weer, dean of the Perdue School. “This accolade recognizes the hard work of our faculty and staff, including M.B.A. director Yvonne Hanley, in creating and supporting this initiative, and the positive impact their efforts continue to have on our students.”

The 179 colleges and universities ranked include two other University of Maryland schools: the University of Maryland, College Park’s Robert H. Smith School of Business and the University of Baltimore. Other campuses include Temple, Carnegie Melon and Penn State universities.

Selections were based on criteria including student engagement, admissions selectivity, peer reputation, faculty credentials and training, and student services and technology.

Last fall, U.S. News announced additional rankings for SU, placing it at No. 67 out of 187 public and private U.S. institutions in the Best Regional Universities — North category. This marked the 20th consecutive year Salisbury was included in the top tier of that category. The University also was named among the “A-plus Schools for B Students” and “Best Schools for Veterans.”
