U.S. Air Force Heritage Aire Ensemble Performs November 15

Heritage AireSALISBURY, MD---Irish song and dance comes to Salisbury University as the U.S. Air Force Heritage Aire Celtic Music Ensemble takes the Holloway Hall Auditorium stage 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 15.

Under the direction of Master Sergeant David Boone, Heritage Aire is the newest ensemble of the Air Force’s Heritage of America Band at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. The musicians blend contemporary music with traditional Celtic style, interweaving such favorite instruments as the Irish flute and tin whistle with modern ones including the acoustic guitar and oboe.

The Footsteps Irish Dancers join the band for a visual as well as musical performance. Founded in 1997 by Bill and Kelley Taylor, Footsteps Dance Academy of Salisbury provides the Footsteps Irish Dancers. The group is comprised of pre-professional dancers from the Delmarva Peninsula.
