UNIC Acting Deputy Director Continues Global Peacemakers Lecture Series October 25

Andi GitowSALISBURY, MD---Andi Gitow, acting deputy director of the United Nations Information Center (UNIC) continues Salisbury University’s Global Peacemakers Lecture Series with the talk “The United Nations: Peace and Security and the Global Landscape” 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, in Conway Hall Room 156.

A two-time Emmy Award-winning journalist for NBC News, where she served as a network producer, Gitow has more than two decades of experience in media. At NBC, she covered some of the most important stories of the 1990s and early 2000s, including the war in Bosnia and 9/11 U.S. terror attacks.

Before joining UNIC in Washington, D.C., she worked at United Nations Headquarters as head of film and global campaigns for the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. She also served as acting chief of partnerships and an executive producer at the UN’s News and Media Division.
