Tornado Warning Announced for Wicomico, Somerset Counties until 5:15 p.m.

SALISBURY, MD---The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a tornado warning for Wicomico and Somerset counties until 5:15 p.m.

NWS expects the storm to be near Fruitland at 4:50 p.m., Salisbury University and Hebron around 4:55 p.m. and other parts of Salisbury at approximately 5 p.m.  The storm is then expected to reach Parsonsburg and Delmar by 5:10 p.m.

Officials are advising residents to take cover, moving to an interior room or the lowest floor of a sturdy building, and avoid windows. If in a mobile home or a vehicle, or outdoors, move to the closest substantial shelter and avoid flying debris.
