Spring PRESTO Music Class Registration Open at SU

PRESTO KidsSALISBURY, MD---Want to learn to play a musical instrument? Salisbury University can help.

PRESTO, the Preparatory School of Music at SU, is seeking students of all ages and skill levels for its spring 2018 sessions, beginning in early February. Private instruction is available in strings (violin, viola, cello and bass), piano, voice, guitar, and most orchestraland band instruments.

Individual lessons begin the week of February 5. Students participate in 12 weekly sessions each semester, culminating in a student recital on Tuesday, May 15, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.

Cost for private lessons is $330 per 12-week semester for a 30 minute-per-week lesson with a professional teacher. Half-hour sessions with student teachers are available for $264 per semester. Lessons for 45 minutes and one hour also are available.  

Lessons are offered weekday afternoons from Monday-Friday and Saturday mornings - all by appointment. Except for piano, students are required to bring their own instruments.

SU also offers PRESTO Plus adult group piano lessons and launching this semester, an adult group guitar and an adult group theatre class. All PRESTO programs are sponsored by the University’s Center for Extended and Lifelong Learning.
