SU's Winter Commencement Rescheduled

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Winter 2009 Commencement has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, May 21, at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center.  A snow emergency forced cancellation of the original ceremony on Saturday, December 19.

All 535 graduates, and their families and friends, are invited to celebrate at this special event.  Doors open at 5 p.m.

“Although we share in the frustration and disappointment brought on by this ill-timed storm, we look forward to May 21 when our graduates can come together as the Class of 2009 to mark this most important milestone,” said Dr. Diane Allen, SU’s provost and senior vice president of academic affairs.

A reception hosted by the SU Alumni Association follows.  Commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2010 will be held earlier that day.  Detailed information for all graduates and guests will be posted at www.salisbury.edu/commencement.
