SU's 'American Master Photographers' Film Series Continues April 4

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University continues its “American Master Photographers” film series with Roots of California Photography: The Monterey Legacy 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, in Fulton Hall Room 111.

The documentary chronicles the artistic heritage of the Monterey region, which in the 1930s and ‘40s was teeming with writers, painters, poets – and photographers. Produced by Steven Rosen and Terri De Bono, and narrated by Jack Lemmon, it highlights American masters, whose creative and technical visions influenced the world’s view of photographic art.

The film features the work of Edward, Brett and Cole Weston; Wynn and Edna Bullock; Ansel Adams; Morley Baer; Henry Gilpin; John Sexton; Richard Garrod; Sonya Noskowiak; Margrethe Mather and Ruth Bernhard, among others.

Sponsored by the University Galleries, the screening is free and the public is invited. For more information call 410-548-2547 or visit the SU Web site at
