SU to Hold 9/11 Memorial Ceremony

SALISBURY, MD---For the eighth year, Salisbury University honors those who lost their lives during the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

The community is invited to gather in front of Fulton Hall by 8:40 a.m. Saturday, September 11, for a ceremony including a vocal performance by tenor John Wesley Wright of the SU Department of Music and a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m., commemorating the first plane crash into the World Trade Center.

A meditative labyrinth walk opens at 9 a.m. in the Wicomico Room of the Guerrieri University Center. The walk is open through 5 p.m. Saturday, September 11, and noon-5 p.m. Sunday, September 12.

A digital finger labyrinth for the visually and mobility-impaired is also available. Both are provided by Amy Isaacs of Salisbury, who will be available to answer questions about the labyrinths. A memorial journal will allow participants to record their thoughts.

Sponsored by the Office of Cultural Affairs, admission to the labyrinth walk is free and the public is invited. For information call 410-543-6271 or visit the SU web site at www.salisbury.edu.
