SU Welcomes New Faculty

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University welcomes 22 new full-time faculty members this semester.

Fulton School new faculty include Nicole Schneider of the Art Department; Dr. Cynthia Cooper and Dr. Darrell Newton of the Communication and Theatre Arts Department; Dr. Lucy Morrison and Dr. Elsie Walker of the English Department; Dr. William Folger of the Music Department; Dr. Joerg Tuske of the Philosophy Department; Dr. Roberta Adams of the Political Science Department; and Dr. Karl Maier of the Psychology Department.

Henson School new faculty include Dr. Katherine Miller, Nancy Neale and Dr. Elizabeth Papish of the Chemistry Department and Molly Parsons of the Nursing Department.

Perdue School new faculty include Dr. Patrick Marchand and Dr. Hong Yao of the Economics and Finance Department and Dr. Jing Quan of the Information and Decision Sciences Department.

Seidel School new faculty include Dr. Theodore Gilkey, Dr. Randall Groth, Dr. Monique Lynch and Stacie Siers of the Education Department; Sarah Manspeaker of the Health, Physical Education and Human Performance Department; and Dr. James Forte of the Social Work Department.

Schneider earned her MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She comes to SU from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Cooper earned her Ph.D. at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She comes to SU from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.

Newton earned his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He comes to SU from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Morrison earned her Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina. She comes to SU from Pennsylvania State University, Hazleton.

Walker earned her Ph.D. from the University of Sheffield, England. She comes to SU from the University of Sheffield.

Folger earned his DMA from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. He comes to SU from Concord College, WV.

Tuske earned his Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. His most recent academic experience was at the University of Nottingham.

Adams earned her Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. She comes to SU from Temple University.

Maier earned his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He comes to SU from the Veterans Administration Connecticut Healthcare System.

Miller earned her Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis. She comes to SU from Susquehanna University.

Neale earned her Ph.D. from Wayne State University. Her most recent academic experience was at Wayne State.

Papish earned her Ph.D. from Columbia University. She comes to SU from Franklin and Marshall College.

Parsons earned her M.S. from SU. She comes to the University from the Wicomico County Health Department.

Marchand earned his Ph.D. from the University of Alabama. He comes to SU from the University of Northern Iowa.

Yao earned her Ph.D. from the University of Oregon. She has been an adjunct faculty member at SU for five years.

Quan earned his Ph.D. from the University of Florida. He comes to SU from Florida Atlantic University.

Gilkey earned his Ed.D. from the University of Rochester. He comes to SU from the Baldwinsville, NY, Public School System.

Groth earned his Ph.D. from Illinois State University. He comes to SU from Illinois State.

Lynch earned her Ph.D. from George Mason University. She came to SU in January from George Mason.

Siers earned her M.Ed. from SU. An adjunct faculty member at SU for six years, she is serving full-time as teacher-in-residence from Wicomico County on a one-year special appointment.

Manspeaker earned her M.S. from Old Dominion University. She comes to SU from Maury High School in Norfolk, VA.

Forte earned his Ph.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University. He comes to SU from Christopher Newport University.
