SU Summer Camp Registration Begins April 1

SU Summer Camp Participants

SALISBURY, MD---Looking for summer activities for the kids?  Salisbury University is offering summer camps for children ages 6-12 on campus and in local beach communities.  All camps are Tuesdays–Fridays from 9 a.m.–1 p.m.

The summer begins with Healthy U, June 23-26 and July 28-31.  An exploration of the six components of wellness, it’s held at SU’s Healthy U of Delmarva Office, 103 Power Street in Salisbury.

The next month features Sports and Leadership on July 7-10.  It gives campers the chance to try various sports and gain leadership skills.  It’s held in Fenwick Island at 1400 Coastal Highway, next to Warren’s Station Family Restaurant.

Exploration Earth is July 14-17, teaching campers how to protect and actively appreciate the environment.  It’s held at the Bayside Community at the intersection of Routes 54 and 20 in West Fenwick Island.

The summer wraps up with Ocean Discovery on August 4–7.  An exploration and appreciation of the ocean world, it’s also held in Fenwick Island at 1400 Coastal Highway, next to Warren’s Station Family Restaurant.

Camp sponsors include the Optimist Club of Salisbury, the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation and the Borodulia Family.  All camps will be taught by four counselors who are SU directors, coaches and students.  They will promote an appreciation for knowledge, creativity and teamwork.  Admission is $100 per camp or $25 per day.  Registration starts Wednesday, April 1.

A healthy snack, a t-shirt and all materials are included.  Campers should bring a brown bag lunch.  Enrollment is limited to 20 campers.  For more information or to register call Amy Waters at 410-677-5416.
