SU Presents Global Puppet Exhibit Feb. 25-28

PuppetsSALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University celebrates puppetry traditions in major cultures around the world during a global puppet exhibit Sunday-Wednesday, February 25-28, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.

Exhibit hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily.

Highlighting the art form’s history in Asia, Europe and the Americas, this collection demonstrates the use of puppetry as a teaching and communication tool.

The exhibit is part of a multi-day puppetry experience at SU in late February. Activities begin with a Magic Puppet Tea Party 5 p.m. Saturday, February 24, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.

Admission to the tea party is $18.95 per person. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available at the Guerrieri Student Union Information Desk beginning Monday, January 29. Group reservations must be made in advance.

Free tickets for the show also are available at the Information Desk beginning January 29, for SU students, faculty and staff; February 9 for the general community (limit two per person).

In conjunction with the play, SU Dining Services presents the dinner “An Evening in Persia” from 4:30-7:30 p.m. in the Commons. Cost is $13.50, $8.15 for children 6 and under.
