SU Organizations Receive SWAC Grants

SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury Wicomico County Arts Council (SWAC) has announced Wednesday, October 8, as the preliminary deadline for its second round of grants for arts activities in 2003.

Earlier this year, five of six SWAC grants were awarded to many of Salisbury University’s affiliated organizations, totaling $17,000. They included the SU Dance Company ($2,000), WSCL ($2,000), the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art ($500), the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra ($1,500) and the Salisbury Symphony Youth and Collegiate Orchestra ($1,000).

The grants are intended to enhance and improve the artistic offerings in our community. Awards are made only to incorporated non-profit corporations, and all awards must be matched.
