SU Hosts FLC Technology Transfer Conference January 29

Salisbury, MD---Interested in collaborating on technology solutions to meet challenges in today’s business world?

Salisbury University hosts the Federal Lab Consortium conference “Business Opportunities through Technology Transfer” 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday, January 29, in the Wicomico Room of the Guerrieri University Center.

Featuring panels, presentations and problem-solving workshops, the conference will help business professionals learn about new technology opportunities with Federal labs and universities, including how to integrate that technology into businesses and how some Eastern Shore companies have benefited from such partnerships.

Areas of emphasis include environmental monitoring, bio-based products and robotics. Presenting institutions include the Environmental Protection Agency, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, U.S. Department of Agriculture, regional universities and Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO).

The conference is sponsored in part by Salisbury University’s Henson School of Science and Technology and the Small Business Development Center. The conference is free but pre-registration is required. Lunch is included.
