SU Honors Convocation to Be Held Friday, May 2

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University honors some 2,000 outstanding scholars and student leaders at its annual Spring Honors Convocation 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 2, in Holloway Hall Auditorium.

Recognizing students in all areas of academic life, some 140 departmental awards, scholarships and other honors will be given. The spring and fall 2013 semester Dean’s List students and new honor society initiates also will be acknowledged for their academic successes.

The colorful ritual includes the procession of faculty in full regalia, the pomp and circumstance of the University mace and flag, the University Chorale, and the singing of the Alma Mater. The ceremony is a tradition which dates back to the founding of the University in 1925.
