SU-Downtown Trolley Now Open

Trolley Ribbon Cutting

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University students and administrators recently joined business and elected leaders from the greater community to cut the ribbon on a new trolley connecting SU with downtown Salisbury.

Partially funded by a $50,000 grant from the Maryland Transit Administration, the trolley is scheduled to run from 7 p.m.-2 a.m. Thursdays-Saturdays during the academic year. City leaders said they hoped the convenience of on-campus pickup and drop-off, combined with the $1 fare, would encourage more SU students to visit Salisbury’s downtown restaurants and shops.

The trolley is a joint effort between the City of Salisbury, Wicomico County, Tri-County Council, Shore Transit and SU.
