SU Commemorates Veterans Day Monday, November 11

Veterans DaySALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University commemorates Veterans Day with the ceremony “Honoring All Veterans and Military for Their Service” on the front steps of Holloway Hall 3 p.m. Monday, November 11.

The event begins with the SU ROTC color guard and the singing of the national anthem by the Peninsulaires barbershop chorus. President Janet Dudley-Eshbach, Student Military and Veterans Association President Zackery Bayhan and Association Vice President Nick Engelhardt address the audience.

SU senior Conner Cooney speaks on “Still Supporting the Fight.” Dr. Clifton Griffin, dean of graduate studies and research, and advisor to the Student Military and Veterans Association, provides remarks in remembrance of Terry Allen, recently deceased former association advisor.

“We show special appreciation for those within the SU community who have served in the U.S. military or will serve in the future,” said Engelhardt. “We also are proud of the commitment shown by students enlisted in the ROTC Program, as well as the faculty and staff who lead, guide and direct them at SU.”

A reception follows in the Social Room of Holloway Hall.
