SU College Democrats Host Candidates Forum November 15

SALISBURY, MD---The three Democratic candidates running for the House of Representatives in Maryland’s 1st Congressional District, Steve Harper, Frank Kratovil and Christopher Robinson, speak at an upcoming forum at Salisbury University. The town hall meeting is Thursday, Nov. 15th at 7 p.m. in the Frederick Room of the Commons.

Harper, a former foreign service officer from Broadneck, MD, serves as vice president for international affairs at Petters Group Worldwide.

Kratovil is the state’s attorney for Queen Anne’s County and worked previously as an Assistant State’s Attorney in both Prince George’s and Queen Anne’s County.

Robinson, a Cambridge resident, is an attorney in private practice dealing with criminal law, domestic relations and estates.  He spent nearly a decade working on Capitol Hill before becoming an attorney.

“I am excited that we have the opportunity to bring these three outstanding candidates to Salisbury University,” said Brian Kemmet, vice president of the College Democrats. “This forum gives the campus and surrounding community an opportunity to participate in the political process and let their voices be heard."

Co-Sponsored by the College Democrats and the Institute for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement (PACE), the forum is free and the public is invited. For more information, call 410-677-5045 or visit the SU Web site at www.salisbury.edu.
