SU Celebrates National Business Women's Week

National Business Women's weekSALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Franklin P. Perdue School of Business celebrates National Business Women’s Week from Monday-Friday, October 17-21.

Jennifer Falor, North America direct-to-consumer human resources business partner for Nike, Inc., and SU alumna, keynotes the series as the next speaker in the Perdue Executive Leadership Series. She discusses her role in the corporate world at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, in Holloway Hall Auditorium.

A Women in Business Roundtable is 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, October 20, in the John J. and Dolores F. Bennett Auditorium at Perdue Hall. Throughout the week, area women business leaders speak to students in Perdue classes.

A series of video interviews with selected speakers will be available on the Perdue School’s Web site, www.salisbury.edu/perdue. They include Peninsula Regional Medical Center and Peninsula Regional Health System president and CEO Peggy Naleppa, Wilgus Insurance Agency owner Susan Wilgus and Perdue Farms associate marketing manager Lisa Woodward.

During the week, SU also announces the winners of this year’s “You Are on Target” Leadership Award. Presented by Target Corporation, the prize is given annually to one female junior and one female senior Perdue School student who exemplify outstanding leadership qualities.

National Business Women’s Week handouts also will be available throughout Perdue Hall. They include complimentary issues of ShoreWoman magazine, featuring Naleppa and Wilgus, as well as commemorative bookmarks.
