SSU Celebrates Earth Day April 18

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury State University celebrates Earth Day on Tuesday, April 18, from noon-4 p.m. in Red Square (rain location is the Great Hall).

WSUR, the student radio station, is providing music and serving as masters of ceremonies for the day. The Student Organization for Activity Planning (SOAP)is helping to bring in Best Bounce Twister, a giant twister game. A total of 15 registered student organizations will be celebrating. They range from the Outdoor Club which is giving information on edible plants and survival in the wilderness to the Chemistry Society, which is tie-dying T-shirts. The Humane Society and the Salisbury Zoo are bringing animals. The Maryland Conservation Corps is bringing trees. The Student Government Association is selling T-shirts for $8. Dominos and Pepsi are providing refreshments. The day is co-sponsored by WSUR and SOAP.
