Some 51 of the orchestra’s 55 instrumentalists are home-schooled students and students from local private, middle and high schools as well as SU. The remaining four are community volunteer members of the SSO.

The youth symphony “is a bridge between the local school orchestras and the SSO,” Smith said.

Admission is $5 per person at the door. Seating is limited. For more information call 410-548-5587 or visit the SU Web site at www.salisbury.edu.
