SBDC Hosts Interactive Business Workshops

SALISBURY, MD---To assist small businesses in developing their marketing strategies, resources and results, the Small Business Development Center at Salisbury University offers two interactive workshops in co-sponsorship with a local firm, Cedarman Inc.

The first, "Developing Your Marketing Plan" Friday, February 18, helps new and existing businesses get out of the starting block and on the track to “putting plan to paper.” This includes defining their market environment and who their customers are, assessing marketing options and strategies, and developing measurements for monitoring success.

The second, "Marketing on a Shoestring" Thursday, March 3, enables participants to brainstorm creative alternative marketing that brings results without great sums of money. Topics include resources for low-cost marketing, customer relationship marketing, “guerrilla” marketing, and “e-marketing.”

Both course are from 9 a.m.-noon in Room 220 of the Power Professional Building at the corner of Power and Wayne streets. The fee for each is $25, including materials. Veteran marketing professional Terry Cohen teaches the workshops. To register, call the SBDC Training Office at 410-543-6516 or e-mail SBDCtraining@salisbury.edu. "
