Reid Receives Miles Stevenson Prize

SALISBURY, MD--- David Reid of Salisbury is the spring 2003 winner of the Miles-Stevenson Prize presented by the Edward H. Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History and Culture at Salisbury University.

 

The $250 award for outstanding student research is sponsored by Marelynn W. Zipser in honor of Roger Atwood Miles and Arintha May Stevenson. It is offered to students in the Proseminar history classes for their biographical research paper on an early Somerset County settler. Richard Davis was the topic of Reid’s paper.

 

Reid, the son of Sherri Marshall of Florida and David Reid Sr. of Delaware, is a member of the Phi Alpha Theta history honor society, Kappa Delta Pi education honor society and AmeriCorps at SU. He is a 1997 graduate of Cambridge-South Dorchester High School.
