'Princeton Review' Names SU a 2007 Best Value College

SALISBURY, MD---The Princeton Review has named Salisbury University one of its 2007 150 Best Value American Colleges. The distinction comes just months after SU’s ranking as one of the 100 Best Values in Public Colleges by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance.

SU is among 103 public and 47 private colleges in 40 states listed in The Princeton Review’s Best Value American Colleges guide.  The book’s review board chose the colleges for the book based on data the company obtained from administrators at 646 colleges and surveys of students attending them.

The Princeton Review uses more than 30 factors to rate the top 150 colleges in four categories: academics, tuition (sticker price minus average amount students receive in gift aid scholarships and grants), financial aid and student borrowing.

The accolade is the latest addition to SU’s 2006 list of national rankings:  one of the top 10 public institutions in the North among its peers by U.S. News & World Report, one of the “Best 361 Colleges” by The Princeton Review and one of the “367 Most Interesting Schools” in Newsweek-Kaplan’s America’s Hottest Colleges.
