On Stage "Mark Twain Live!"  October 11  

SALISBURY, MD -- Mark Twain, one of America’s foremost humorists and authors, comes alive through the talents of Mark Randall on stage in Salisbury State University’s Caruthers Hall Auditorium on Wednesday, October 11, at 7 p.m. The one-man show, "Mark Twain Live," exhibits all the wit and wisdom that was the trademark of Twain and leaves no doubt that the celebrated humorist was and continues to be, one of America’s greatest natural resources.

Samuel Clemens, also known as Mark Twain, was one of the funniest and most sought out speakers of his day. Randall began impersonating Twain at the age of 17 and has appeared as Twain at the Buffalo Showboat, New York City’s little Hippodrome, and a performance for the State Department in Washington, D.C.. During his 28 years of impersonating Twain, Randall has given over 2000 performances.

In his transformation into the 70-year-old Twain, Randall spends several hours at the make-up table. When he walks on stage the audience is treated to up to two hours of folksy, wise cracking wit and wisdom from Twain’s own words and makes it clear why some have called Twain America‘s original stand-up comic.
