October "Careers in Manufacturing Technology" Seminar Attracted 135 Parents and Students; Next Seminar Scheduled for November 24

SALISBURY, MD--The seminar, "Careers in Manufacturing Explorations," held recently in conjunction with Salisbury State√Ęs Lower Shore Manufacturing Network and the Tawes Technology and Career Center, Parkside Technology and Career Center and the Worcester County Technology and Career Center attracted over 135 parents and students in grades 8-10.

The tri-county event, designed to help students and parents become more aware of the high-tech manufacturing opportunities that are available on the lower Eastern Shore, provided parents and students the opportunity to talk with representatives from manufacturing companies; and to attend sessions on computer aided drafting and design, electronics, data processing, computer repair technology and high performance manufacturing. Guidance counselors were also available to discuss the program with both parents and students.
