'No Barriers' Program May 5 at HEALTHSOUTH"

SALISBURY, MD---ShoreCorps/PALS, the local AmeriCorps agency, in partnership with HEALTHSOUTH, Chesapeake Rehabilitation Hospital, offers a "No Barriers" program to the community on Saturday, May 5, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. The program, held at HEALTHSOUTH on 220 Tilghman Road, Salisbury, is to raise awareness about community resources and opportunities open to individuals with physical or cognitive disabilities.

During registration and orientation, information on service providers in the community who work with and support persons with disabilities will be available. A free continental breakfast will also be offered during this time.  

The morning presentations include "Success in Overcoming Barriers," "Community Resources" and "A Call to Service."  Prior to the afternoon session, a free luncheon, complete with door prizes, will be provided. 

The afternoon panel discussion will be moderated by Paul Rendine, chair of the Lower Shore Governor's Commission on Employment of People with Disabilities.
