Ninth Annual Big Event Scheduled Saturday, April 20

The Big EventSALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University students unite to help the community during the ninth annual Big Event community cleanup day, sponsored by the Student Government Association Saturday, April 20.

During the community service project, hundreds of SU students help campus neighbors with household chores such as raking leaves, cleaning attics and painting. Properties surrounding SU are eligible.

“The Big Event is a chance for students to connect with the residents of Salisbury and let them know that they mean a lot to the University community,” said Samantha Langdon, SGA vice president of external affairs. “The community does so much for SU, and this is just our way of saying, ‘thank you.’”

“It is also important that we get to know our neighbors and they get to know us because we can learn a lot from each other,” said Rachel Doyon, SGA vice president of University affairs. “Salisbury is our home, too, and we want it to be as nice as it can be.”
