Nabb Center Presents Genealogy Workshop February 7

SALISBURY, MD---Dr. Ray Thompson, history professor at Salisbury University, presents a genealogy research workshop from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, February 7, at the Edward H. Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History and Culture. Thompson covers the basics of genealogy research including how to begin, what sources to examine and the value of oral history. The workshop ends with a hands-on session allowing participants to interpret colonial writing. Cost is $40 per person, $35 for students and center members. A research method and source handbook is provided. The workshop breaks for lunch. The center is located in the Power Professional Building on Wayne Street on SU’s East Campus.
