SALISBURY, MD---The inaugural Eastern Shore Senior Games at Salisbury State University on April 21 and 22 has already attracted some 100 registrants, but the March 31 deadline for registering for the array of events for Marylanders 50 years of age and older is fast approaching.

While the emphasis is on promoting physical fitness and a healthy, active lifestyle among people 50 and over, each competition features gold, silver and bronze medals awarded to the top three male and female contestants in each age category (50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75- 79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95+). If participant numbers are insufficient, age groups may be combined for competition purposes.

The Eastern Shore Games are supported by the SSU Foundation Inc., Conectiv, WBOC- TV, Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. of Salisbury, the Sea Gull Century and the Wicomico County Division of Tourism.
