Hoffman Performs All-Bach Viola Concert Tuesday, July 11

SALISBURY, MD---Musician, author and National Public Radio commentator Miles Hoffman is a man of many talents.

The world class violist brings one of those talents to Salisbury University’s Holloway Hall Auditorium 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, presenting a solo all-Bach concert as part of the Maryland Summer Center for the Arts.

“Hoffman was at his best when the music assumed the eloquence of a passionate, pleading human voice,” The Washington Post said of one of his recent performances. “The rich tone of his instrument was modulated so delicately at times that it almost seemed about to form words.”

Tickets are $18, $15 for Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council (SWAC) members, and available in advance at all Mercantile Peninsula Bank locations and The Bank of Delmarva. Visa and MasterCard orders may be placed by calling 410-543-ARTS.

SWAC and the Maryland Summer Center for the Arts at SU sponsor the performance. For more information call 410-543-6030 or visit the SU Web site at www.salisbury.edu.
