History Professor Attends Panel Discussions on  History, Culture and Politics  at Poland Conference  

SALISBURY, MD---Dr. Robert Berry, professor of history in the Fulton School of Liberal Arts at Salisbury State University, recently attended the 58th annual convention of the Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences in America. At the conference, Berry attended panels dealing with Polish history, culture and politics.

Held in conjunction with the Jagiellonian University, this was the first time since its founding by Polish emigres the conference was held abroad in Cracow, Poland. Highlights of the conference included an academic processional from the Academy of Sciences to the University itself, capped by a ceremony granting honorary doctoral degrees to Zbigniew Brzesinnski, national security advisor to President Jimmy Carter; and to Piotr Wandycz, professor of history at Yale University.
