Guerrieri University Center Art Space Hosts 'I'm Sorry' Exhibit December 2-31

University Center Art Space logoSALISBURY, MD---The Guerrieri University Center Art Space hosts the exhibit “I’m Sorry” by Salisbury University senior art major Kent Kondo from December 2-31.

Having grown up in Bethesda, MD, Kondo is pursuing his B.F.A. in graphic design while taking upper-level painting courses. His work is largely conceptual and illustrative.

“We like the art we understand,” he said. “My works gain depth with understanding; the things I cannot say with brushes must use words. I am a dreamer, dumb idealist, yearning for ‘sweetness and light’ in the world.

“This manifests itself in paintings … writings … musical compositions. I strive to capture compassion, like bubbles trapped in glass, and flash them as beacons of hope. This is my search for some magical gesture, for bringing about the best in people.”

The Art Space is located in the Guerrieri Center’s second-floor concourse. Admission is free and the public is invited. For more information call 410-543-6247 or visit the Art Space website at http://www.salisbury.edu/guc/artspace.
