Friestat Wins Outstanding Graduate Award

SALISBURY, MD--Sally Freistat, a 1998 graduate of Salisbury State University, was recently recognized by the Great Lakes Association of College and University Housing Officers (GLACUHO) as the Outstanding Graduate Students for the state of Indiana.

Freistat, the daughter of Jack and Mary Freistat of Salisbury, is pursing her master's degree in education with a concentration in college student personnel in higher education from Ball State University where she is a residence life assistant.

At Ball State Freistat teaches the resident assistant course and serves as a mentor to many student leaders and groups. This summer she participated in the ACUHO-I internship program at Northern Illinois University. She has also gained experience in the Ball State offices of the Vice President of Student Affairs, Multicultural Affairs, Leadership and Service programs, and Orientation. She is writing her thesis on Ball State's Freshman Connections program.
