Elliot Attends Professional Development Institute  

SALISBURY, MD--Michael Elliot, dining services assistant manager at Salisbury State University, recently attended the Professional Development Institute at the Tyson Foods Management Development Center in Russellville, AK.

The event is affiliated with the National Association of College and University Food services (NACUFS). During the week- long seminar, Elliott attended workshops conducted by nationally recognized presenters related to strategic planning, developing a mission and vision for an organization and public speaking skills. While there, he had the opportunity to network with other individuals in the food service field from all across the country.

Of the nine regions that make up the NACUFS organization, only 19 people were selected to attend the seminar. Elliott was one of the three food service professionals selected to attend the seminar in SSU’s NACUFS Region II, which includes Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.
