Eating Disorders Workshop Scheduled Friday, November 5

SALISBURY, MD---The Center for Professional Development at Salisbury University presents a workshop on eating disorders by psychologist Dr. Marla M. Sanzone 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, November 5 in the Montgomery Room of the Commons. The workshop provides information on diagnosing and treating Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia and Binge Eating Disorder. Sanzone describes the connections between eating and personality disorders. Origins and causes of eating disorders including body image and sexual abuse also are discussed. Sanzone is a private licensed psychology practitioner in Annapolis. She specializes in treating eating and mood disorders, anxiety spectrum and attention deficit disorders. Sanzone is an assistant professor in the psychology department at Loyola College in Maryland and editor of the women’s and child/adolescent sections of The Journal of Medical Psychology. Six continuing education units are awarded with attendance. The cost is $95 and the registration deadline is October 29.
