Downtown Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Friday September 18

Downtown Ribbon-Cutting CeremonyDowntown 3rd Friday celebrations will have special meaning for Salisbury University this week: The campus community, including families, friends and supporters, is invited to a festive ribbon cutting of its latest addition: The Plaza Gallery Building.

Ceremonies are scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. September 18 with benefactors Palmer Gillis and Tony Gilkerson, who have donated one of downtown’s signature structures to the campus, and with President Janet Dudley-Eshbach.  A reception follows.

The gift, valued at some $4.4 million, is a major milestone in the University’s ongoing commitment to community and downtown revitalization.  Following official approval from the University System of Maryland Board of Regents, it will be accepted for the University by the SU Foundation, Inc.  For more information on The Gallery Building and SU, visit http://www.salisbury.edu/news/article.html?id=6399 or call 410-543-6030.
