Dhrupad Vocalist Meghana Sardar Performs at SU March 28SALISBURY, MD---Dhrupad is the oldest vocal genre in Hindustani classical music, its name derived from the words “Dhruva” and “pad,” where a part of a poem is used as a refrain.
Vocalist Meghana Sardar demonstrates the musical style during a concert 7 p.m. Monday, March 28, in the Great Hall of Salisbury University’s Holloway Hall.
