Dance Company Supports Troops

SALISBURY, MD--- The Salisbury University Dance Company sponsors a car wash 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at Cheers on South Salisbury Boulevard, raising funds to purchase telephone calling cards for armed forces overseas through Operation Uplink.

The cards enable U.S. troops to stay in touch with their families and friends.

Six raffles to raise money for the project will be held during the Dance Company's annual Spring Concert Thursday-Saturday, April 24-26, at 8 p.m. in Holloway Hall Auditorium. Prizes for each drawing include more than $100 in merchandise and gift certificates. Raffle tickets are $1 each and are available at the door.

The Company donates 10 percent of its Spring Concert admissions to the project.

The Dance Company's executive council chose Operation Uplink for its spring 2003 semester fund-raising project following a successful fall 2002 semester fund-raising project for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
