ChromaDuo Concludes 'Guitar in the Gallery' Series March 5

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Guitar in the Gallery series concludes with a performance and master class by ChromaDuo, comprised of Canadian guitarists Tracy Anne Smith and Rob MacDonald, 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5, in the Fulton Hall Gallery. The series, directed by Dr. Danielle Cumming of the Department of Music, presents emerging professional guitarists in concert.

Smith has performed in concert across the United States and in Germany, England, France, Italy, Spain, the USA, Mexico and her native Canada and has been commended by American virtuoso Benjamin Verdery for her “ability to express the emotion of a work to its core.” She is currently a Doctoral student at the Peabody Conservatory under the guidance of Manuel Barrueco.

MacDonald has given solo recitals in the U.S., England and Italy and has performed with Soundstreams Canada, the Canadian Opera Company, Madawaska String Quartet, CONTACT Contemporary Ensemble and Tapestry New Opera. He holds a degree from the Peabody Conservatory, and has studied privately with guitar virtuoso Matteo Mela in Italy.
